About the Speaker:Professor at the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy, Technical University of Denmark. Fellow of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and Fellow of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (ISIAQ).His teaching and research cover: advanced air distribution in indoor spaces and vehicle compartments, airborne cross-infection, impacts of the indoor environment on human health, comfort and performance, and individually controlled environments.His research findings have been incorporated into engineering handbooks, technical guidelines, as well as international, European and national standards. He has served as Principal Investigator for 60 research projects funded by governments and private organizations across multiple countries.Based on collaborations with industry, he has developed a number of novel HVAC technologies and measurement instruments. He has delivered over 60 invited lectures.He is also an editor / reviewer for journals including Building and Environment and Building Research and Information.He has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal Reedberg Award from the Nordic Association of HVAC & Sanitary Engineering, and the Distinguished Service Award from ASHRAE.
